REGARDING the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006, S.O. 2006, c.29 (the “Act”), in particular sections 14 and 21;

AND REGARDING Muhammad Aslam Bajwa



ORDER TO REFUSE APPLICATION

On May 16, 2018, the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal (the “Notice”) to refuse the mortgage agent application of Muhammad Aslam Bajwa (“Mr. Bajwa”), pursuant to sections 14 and 21 of the Act.

Mr. Bajwa requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal (“Tribunal”) in respect of the Superintendent’s Notice, pursuant to subsection 21(2) of the Act. The hearing was held on January 21, 2019.

On February 28, 2019, the Tribunal issued its decision and ordered the Superintendent to carry out the Notice of Proposal to refuse the mortgage agent application of Mr. Bajwa pursuant to subsection 21(4) of the Act.

ORDER

The mortgage agent application of Muhammad Aslam Bajwa is hereby refused.
